Electric Management Services is a specialist with lowering your monthly electric utility bill. Our Energy Facility Management system is a cost effective & efficient method of reducing electric costs and improving your company's profitability. Our services are specifically designed for organizations that have neither the time, expertise, nor the resources to devote but still want to secure the best prices available on their electric utility bill. We help our clients to reduce their monthly electric utility bill and in turn reduce their energy costs.

OUR COST REDUCTION SYSTEM:

1) Our business relationship with our client starts by interviewing our client to gain an understanding about their business and their equipment. EMS also reviews our clients present and proposed future electric usage patterns and electric costs. Significant savings can be realized and significant financial penalties can be avoided by having advanced notice of production or equipment changes.

2) We perform an electric bill audit. The electric bill audit consists of analyzing our client's historical electric utility bills. During this review we identify and investigate billing errors. While electric utilities do not intentionally make billing mistakes, these mistakes do occur. They also occur for many reasons. EMS specializes in identifying the billing mistakes that would otherwise go unnoticed by both the utility and the customer. Recovering the overcharges related to billing mistakes can have a significant financial impact to our client's bottom line. Some of the more common errors are related to meter reading errors, estimated meter readings, equipment failure and mathematical miscalculations.

The accuracy of the billings will be verified during the electric bill audit and we will recover any overcharges directly with the electric utility - Thus, reducing your energy costs and positively impacting your bottom line.

3) EMS performs an electric rate analysis. This analysis starts by analyzing the terms & conditions of any existing electric service agreements, if applicable. We then compare our client's electric usage patterns against the electric utility's available rate schedules to identify the best available rate and electric service contract terms. During the review we identify avoidable penalties, identify misapplications of electric utility rate schedules, and we identify clauses within the rate schedules that may financially benefit our client. Financially beneficial recommendations are made to our client as a result of the electric rate analysis. Our clients always have final decision making authority for any contractual and/or rate changes with the electric utility.

For many businesses, electricity represents a substantial expense that has a significant impact on the finances of the company. Despite its impact, most organizations do not have the time or expertise to identify & solve problems affecting their electric utility billing and electric service contracts. EMS can provide the time and expertise to positively impact our clients profitability. Electric utilities are under no obligation to bill at the lowest or best rate. Typically, it is the customer's responsibility for choosing the best available rate that is offered by the electric utility. In addition, there are usually numerous rates available to choose. Complex and ever changing electric utility rate schedules, in addition to electric deregulation in several states has created various billing alternatives. It is important that the rate schedule for each account is the most economical possible.

4) We will continue to monitor your monthly electric bills, and continue to look for opportunities to lower your energy costs. Our ongoing monitoring & support will assist our client with implementing recommendations, resolving utility billing questions and identifying new cost savings opportunities and contract compliance.
